Human robot interaction (HRI)

Human-robot interaction has been a topic of both science fiction and academic speculation even before any robots existed. Because much of active HRI development depends on natural-language processing, many aspects of HRI are continuations of human communications, a field of research which is much older than robotics.

Companion Robot for Elderly

Research Problem Statement

Elderly living in assisted living facility (Indonesia: panti wreda/panti jompo) need additional assistance in the form of "friend" that able to perform acts such as reminding to take medicine, reminder for prayer, entertain by playing song at their request, playing motivational/religious video, greets them and celebrate their birthday.

What Our Research Do

Develop physical robot capable of face recognition,voice recognition, having conversation through text-to-speech and speech-to-text. As for the software side, develop user interface using React.js and Tailwind CSS and develop knowledge base using RASA Platform.

Companion Robot for Toodler

Research Problem Statement

According to one study, EQ/emotional quotient/emotional intelligence contribute up to 80% of one's success. This intelligence are essential for toddler growing up that currently receeding. Therefore, there's a need for robot that accompany toddler to learn how to asking permission such as "excuse me", apologizing, asking for help, learn to stand in line, and learn other aspects of emotional intelligence according to reference.

What Our Research Do

Develop game complete with physical mascot and touch screen monitor as the way to interact with it. Utilizing Unity for game building.
